Welcome to TransitEmerald. By accessing or using transitemerald.com (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About the service

TransitEmerald is an independent, free information service that aggregates and displays public-transport timetables, maps and route information for Ireland. We are not a transport operator and we do not sell tickets or make bookings.

2. No guarantee of accuracy

Timetable and route information is derived from publicly available GTFS data and is provided for general guidance only. While we work to keep information accurate and up to date, we cannot guarantee that every schedule, map or travel time is complete, current or error-free. Services are subject to real-time delays, diversions, holiday timetables and last-minute changes.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to:

• Interfere with or disrupt the Site, its servers or networks;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site;
• Scrape, harvest or copy content at scale for commercial purposes without permission;
• Use the Site in any way that infringes the rights of others.

4. Intellectual property

The design, layout, original text and branding of TransitEmerald are our property or used under licence. Operator names, route numbers and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and informational purposes only.

5. Third-party links and advertising

The Site contains links to third-party websites and displays third-party advertising. We are not responsible for the content, products, services or practices of those third parties. Your dealings with them are solely between you and the third party.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TransitEmerald and its operators shall not be liable for any loss or damage — including missed transport, missed connections, or any direct, indirect or consequential loss — arising from your use of, or reliance on, information provided on the Site. The Site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.

7. Changes to the Site and terms

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site, and update these Terms, at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
